How do Nailner treatments work?
All Nailner products work by penetrating deep into the nail’s keratin layer of the nail and lowering the pH level of the infected nail. This creates an unfavourable environment for the fungus which eliminates the infection and prevent it from returning. Nailner products also contains a moisturising ingredient to condition and improve the damaged nails. In clinical studies all patients were cured of nail fungus when using Nailner every day for 12 weeks. Nailner uses ingredients that do not damage the nail and can be used for the treatment, as well as prevention, of nail fungus.
Nailner treats nail fungus through two crucial actions:
- Total saturation of the nail: Fungi reside not only on the surface of the nail but throughout the entire nail structure. Nailner effectively penetrates and saturate the nail thus removing all the fungi that is present. Its active ingredients target not only the surface but also deep within the nail.
- Lowering pH levels to kill fungus: It has been shown that fungi prefer alkaline pH environments. They release agents that break down the keratin and cause the visual damage that is associated with nail infections. Nailner contains lactic acid which lowers pH levels and creates an unfavourable environment for fungi to survive.
Home remedies
There are a multitude of methods which claim to cure nail fungus. Home remedies typically focus on using a single product or ingredient to try and fight toenail infections. However, the effectiveness of these home remedies has not been proven in clinical studies nor do they always adequately penetrate the nail so fungus can still survive deep within the nail. Some may even contain damaging ingredients for the nail and all of them merely treat symptoms rather than preventing long term infection.
Tea tree oil:
Tea tree oil is a natural fungicide and provides a chemical defence against fungus, which is present in its oil. However, unlike Nailner, it doesn’t penetrate the nail completely and so fungus can still survive deep within. This home remedy also requires a long period of time before any results can be seen.
Vinegar:
Vinegar has acidity levels that may help prevent infection but it lacks the strength to kill off fungus that is already established. If vinegar is to be effective at all, it would need to be used for a long period of time over many months. In contrast, Nailner contains acids that prevent fungus from continuing to live in the nail and includes a penetrating agent that allows total nail saturation, ensuring fungus cannot survive deep within the nail.
Baking Soda:
Baking soda is added to water to create a paste. It is said that if the paste is applied twice daily following a 15-minute soak, an improvement may be seen. Baking soda has similar limitations to vinegar when it comes to treating nail fungus effectively. Also, 30 minutes of treatment each day is extremely inconvenient compared to applying Nailner which takes only 1-2 minutes per day.
